Flanders Red Mixed Fermentation Belgian Beer

Blend of 8 and 18 month old ale carefully matured in oak casks. Refreshingly sour and fruity taste with hints of apples, raisins and a long, dry acidic finish. Brewed in honour of Mary of Burgundy, daughter of Charles the Bold - Duke of Burgundy. By marrying Archduke Maximilian of Austria (in doing so snubbing the son King Louis XI of France) she bought peace to the region. However, she died tragically after being thrown from a horse while falconing, hence the falcon on the label.
