Jackie O’s - Iron Furnace, Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine, 14.4%

In the late 1800’s, iron furnaces around the Southeast Ohio area burned red hot, smelting ore into iron. The Hope Furnace outside of Athens County operated from 1854-1874, producing 15 tons of iron a day. The structure still stands today and was the inspiration for the biggest, richest, and burliest Barleywine style Ale we have ever produced. Brewed with a ludicrous amount of local maple syrup and aged for 18 months in some of our favorite bourbon barrels.
