HEXCRAFT: WEST COAST IPA with BRUJOS (Portland, Oregon)

To celebrate having Sam, Owner/Brewer of Brujos Brewing, over for MASH, we gave him carte blanche to choose the style. While Brujos are known for their hazy IPA’s, being from Portland — the heart of the West Coast — he was keen to brew a proper Westy.
We built a base of German Pilsner malt with a touch of malted wheat, matched the Portland water profile, and paired it with a classic Simcoe & Mosaic hop combo. The result is a crisp and snappy West Coast IPA, bursting with citrus and pine, balanced maltiness, and a bright straw-yellow appearance.
